Our Story
The Nandi is a family-owned homestay, lovingly managed by the mother-daughter duo, Urmila Tiwari and Richa Dubey. Our story began in 2002 when we built this home in a peaceful neighborhood of Varanasi, conveniently close to its heart. Our vision was to create a space where guests could experience the true essence of Varanasi while enjoying the comforts of a home away from home.

Richa, a native of Varanasi, shares her mother’s love for travel and has lived in various parts of India and the world. An art enthusiast, Richa’s creativity shines through in the beautiful paintings and intricate lippan (mud and mirror) art that adorn The Nandi. Her friendly and approachable nature ensures every guest feels welcomed and cherished, making The Nandi a place where you arrive as guests but leave as friends.
